who do they love more?
I loved this picture from the moment I saw it!!! I saw this on Linda's stamp blog. It immediately reminded me of my little sister Alli {luv you Alli} We have always joked that Alli is the star child and can do no wrong! Out of the 7 of us kids mom and dad loved her best!...we just knew it!! Adam, Shane, Kendall, Carly, Aaron...what do you think? Alli you can put in your 2 cents too. Anyway....love this picture! Hope it makes you smile too!

more from bumblebee
a quick update.....Kailee and Austin finished swim team for this year. They really enjoyed it {both of them improved their own times by 10-20 seconds for all the different strokes} and look forward to next year. Ty and Kyler finished their swim lessons and both are swimming floatie free! I haven't been able to get any pics yet cuz they are both so brave that Shawn and I have had to stay close to them. Kyler has told me repeatedly when I go over to help him or just let him know I am there if he needs to rest and grab my arm..."Mom {insert irritated voice here} I can't drown...my teacher teached me to not drown and to swim!" We are looking forward to a relaxing week...with movies, fun BBQ's and fireworks on Friday!
I also wanted to share these pics with you of my stampin' space...I officially changed the name of the room from "the office" to "My Stampin' Space" Shawn says it's awfully presumptuous of me...but let's face it, I have taken over...I just keep doing it a few feet at a time and he doesn't really care anyway!! His hope is that I can make enough $$ some day with all this so that I can be his sugar mama...and he can quit his job!! Good Luck honey! These vinyl decor elements are Stampin' Ups! latest venture...I got this "create" one cuz it was perfect for my stamp room and I had been wanting to put that exact thing up there for a few months now!! :) isn't that great how it worked out! anyway...

swimming
Oops...my bad...I forgot you were here to see pics of the kids...not listen to me complain about tomorrow (well actually later today)
Ok then...pretty much our days have consisted of swimming, swimming, and more swimming! Kailee and Austin are still on swim team till the end of the month and Ty and Kyler have been taking swim lessons...so we go to swim team, rush home for lunch then go to swim lessons and then the day is pretty much gone so we have an early dinner and go to the pool to swim for fun! So all I have to share are these few fairly uneventful pics of the kiddos in the pool. *At the end you will find a few pics of Kyler...he woke up last week and decided he wanted to be Sharkboy for the day...this was pre haircut...(anyone who has seen the movie Sharkboy and Lavagirl...first I am so sorry....I despise the movie! second...I have done everything in my power to detour my kids from watching and enjoying it but to no avail!) Kyler carefully choose his clothes {black shorts for sharkboy, bumblebee shirt (in case later he decides to be bumblebee, from Transformers) and the hair came courtesy of Kailee and lots of gel!}

graduations galore!! (warning...long post lots of pics)
wahoooooo!!! Who is more excited the kids or mom?? I am just pretty darn sure it's me! I have been looking forward to school being out for a while now! I actually love when the kids are home and we get to spend time together! Life is soooo busy...I really appreciate the slower pace of summer and all the time we get together as a family! With the end of the year comes lots of graduations and awards ceremonies.So let's get to it... Kailee had her awards ceremony a few weeks ago...did we remember the camera?...nope! She received the outstanding achievement award in Choir for the year and also an award for having an A average all year in every class! Go Kailee...she did awesome this year. She also tried out and got in the Varsity Choir for next school year!
Austin...he was sad to see his reign as president come to an end...not sad to see the school year end! He was recognized at 5th grade graduation as the Student Body president and was given a gavel with his name on it! It's pretty cool! He thought that was super cool! When he went through the line to shake everyone's hands on stage, the Asst. Principal Ms. Miller said..."This is not supposed to be used on your brothers!" :) He also received an award for having an A average all year in every subject area and an award for outstanding achievement in Music. Austin also got to welcome the audience and lead them in the pledge at the D.A.R.E. graduation last week!

It's been a bittersweet end to the year...all the kids did phenomenal this year and we are soooo proud of them! We will be starting a new stage in life though...all 4 kids in school! It will be a little sad come September! I know everyone tells me that I will get used to it and love it...but it might take a little time! :) Can you believe that when school starts in the fall, I will have a 13 yr. old 7th grader, an almost 12 yr. old 6th grader (two in Jr. High...WHAT??) an 8 yr. old 2nd grader and a 5 yr. old kindergartener! I have really come to understand better this year how quickly kids grow and that they are only mine for a tiny fraction of time!!
A few more pics after the 5th grade graduation...the whole school comes out and lines the halls for a Clap Out
....we make signs to wish the 5th grader good luck in Jr. High...here are some pics of Austin's walk through the halls and us with our signs!Alli and Shawn...
