Happy 15th Birthday Kailee

The girls after they finished their dinner
our little mini subway sandwich shop...
presents....
Ashton gave her pickles a princess crown & reese's {cuz it's mini max, she has a pillow that looks just like the reese's that she named Max...don't ask, she's weird}
from Teya...a charming charlie's gift card which she is excited to use!
Carolynn gave her a bear with a cute note attached that said "this reminded me of you cuz you give the best hugs just like big bear hugs!"
Sarah gave her an itunes gift card and headphones since the last headphones she had were "ugly" Sarah said :) This is the card that Sarah's dad wrote...he calls her Kailee Sue
The girls....Quincy {which I didn't have a picture of her gift but she gave Kailee makeup!}, Sarah, Carolynn, Teya, and Mary
Playing the skittles game....you have to pick up 2 skittle without looking and if you get the same color you can chew until someone else picks up 2 of the same color, if you pick 2 different colors you just have to hold them in your mouth! This was a fun game to watch!
mouths are getting full...check out the cheeks!!!
I had them show me their "wad" when the game was over....gross!
trying to make a star with their feet
the sock game....sooooo fun and hilarious to watch! I gave all the girls some cute socks and you start by sitting in a circle. When you say "GO" all the girls have to try to get the other girls socks off but try to keep your own on. The last one with a pair of socks or sock on, wins! There were lots of crazy moves...the girls had a great time! There were some rug burns! {oops}
Shawn was laughing so hard watching the girls...he didn't want to miss out on the fun so him and Kailee went a round to see who would come out on top....
Once Kailee got him down all the girls dog piled him and he went down!!!
exhausted after 4 rounds of the sock game!
but time for cake
sparkler candles
it got a little smoky!
tired but having fun! It was such a fun night...after cake and ice cream they watched a movie...I think all of the girls fell asleep at different times throughout the movie for a little cat nap!!! What a fun pajama party!!! and a fun group of girls...everyone got along really well!!!

Randomness

Look at what I found at Sam's Club!!! Do you hear it too? The angels singing and the sound of popcorn popping in the background! Oh my heck!! This bag is going to be one of many that end up in my food storage! We all agreed that we would be perfectly content to live off of popcorn if it became necessary!!
50 POUNDS people!!! Life is good!!!!!!!
This is what Kyler did while we were painting the office! He played with the packing peanuts {that I hate} and he had a ball!! He kept himself entertained for quite some time!
Tyson LOVES to help dad fix stuff! He was soooo eager to help patch up the holes in the wall! He did a really good job! Do you just love that little tongue hanging out as he is concentrating so hard! :) Reminds me of my brother Adam! {I know he will love and appreciate that!...luv ya Adam!}
So when I wasn't looking Shawn told the boys they could help paint and after they were done they told me to look!!! This was their idea of helping to get it painted!! :) stinkers!
This is our cute little friend Ruthie! We had her family over to play and watch movies and she just loved cuddling up with Bella! Bella loved all the attention too!!! Too Cute!

The Dog

I guess since Bella is a part of our family I should give a little shout out to her once in a while! I have to admit this little stinker has wormed her way right into my heart more than I expected! She is really such a fun addition to our family!! Bella and I have a love/hate relationship though....I love her all the time EXCEPT when she tries to lick my feet!!! I HATE IT!!!...even more than being tapped on the shoulder!!!!!!!
Bella LOVES to go to the dog park...her favorite thing to do there is swim! One of these days I have to get a picture of her dive into the pond...it's pretty crazy. She is loyal to her ball when she is there....it rarely leaves her mouth! I like to go and walk the track and Bella is learning that there is more to the park than the pond. She loves to come outside with me when I am bringing groceries in the house. She comes to the car, waits for me to load up and then she runs back to the front door and pushes it open for me! She really is a good dog.
Kyler just adores Bella and he loves it when she licks him! {{so gross}}

First Day of School 2010

Today is the first day of school!! All the kids were excited about going back! They all had a few friends in their classes and were happy with the teachers they got! They all got up and got themselves ready!!! I didn't have to do hardly anything! What a treat that was!!!! :)
Tyson is almost 10, just one more month! He starts 4th grade this year!! It seems so weird to me that when we moved to Katy, Kailee was starting 4th grade! Time goes by way too fast! He is in Mrs. Phillips class. She is new to King Elementary this year. She was very nice when we met her and Tyson is excited to be in her class. She will teach the Math & Science and he will go to Mrs. Serna-Fraga for Reading & Writing.
He is like a mini Shawn! He looked so cute in his skinny jeans that he was so excited to buy!!! What a cutie! Couldn't ya just eat those cheeks up!!!
Kyler Jake...I will miss him during the day! I can't believe my baby is in 2nd grade! He is 7 1/2 years old!!! WHAT?! He was pretty sad to say goodbye to Bella this morning! He will be in Mrs. Smith's class. She was the teacher I was hoping he would get so we are thrilled to have her this year!! I am not sure why Kyler got such a kick out of this shirt but he loved it when we found it at the store!
sweet, sweet, sweet boy!!!
Austin is too old, too tall and growing up much to quickly for me! He is starting 8th grade and is 13 1/2 years old. He is happy to be back at the top of the food chain at school this year! He like the classes he got and found some friends in his classes! I asked him this morning if he was nervous..."Nope" he said! He is so laid back these days! He is excited to try out woodshop this year for one of his electives! While we were driving to school he said "5.0 GPA here I come!"
fire power
Kailee is almost 15!!! I almost have a driver! She started high school today! {scary!!!} She also started seminary this morning! Shawn took her...I am a pretty good mom but I have said for years that driving to seminary is not in my job description! Been there, done that! She loved it though...I will post pics of her later today when she gets home!! I know, I am a a bad...I didn't get up at 5:30 to take pictures of her! She can have after her first day pics! She was nervous and anxious when Shawn dropped her off this morning. As she was getting out of the car though, a group of the kids from seminary saw her and waved and called her over to walk in with them so she was fine after that and I am sure she will have a great first day!!!

Piano Buddies

How cute are these two? Adam and Kyler have been buds for years now! They both have recently developed a love for all things Star Wars! They have also both started piano lessons. Last night Adam was over for a late night and Kyler and him decided to play their songs for each other.
playing Mary had a Little Lamb together
They were darling playing their songs!!

My (not so) Little Chefs

After a day of baking and pizza making
Austin wanted to make homemade pizzas for dinner! Of course, who says no to a dinner they don't have to cook?!! Not I. He made the dough and did a great job! The pizza was yumm-o!!
Last week Tyson and I made sugar cookies together! He asked Melissa Gleason if she would share her recipe with us. She agreed and also shared the recipe for the frosting...that is a must have!!! We told her we would bring her some cookies in return and see if we got the Melissa and Zack seal of approval!!? (he did!) Ty did a fantastic job! He had so much fun in the kitchen! The hardest part was waiting to be able to roll out the dough and do the fun part! I bought him a new "french" rolling pin. He insisted that we needed one. Who am I to argue with the chef? I can't wait for Ty to start his cooking class tomorrow...this month is cookie month!!!
