First Day of School 2010

Today is the first day of school!! All the kids were excited about going back! They all had a few friends in their classes and were happy with the teachers they got! They all got up and got themselves ready!!! I didn't have to do hardly anything! What a treat that was!!!! :)
Tyson is almost 10, just one more month! He starts 4th grade this year!! It seems so weird to me that when we moved to Katy, Kailee was starting 4th grade! Time goes by way too fast! He is in Mrs. Phillips class. She is new to King Elementary this year. She was very nice when we met her and Tyson is excited to be in her class. She will teach the Math & Science and he will go to Mrs. Serna-Fraga for Reading & Writing.
He is like a mini Shawn! He looked so cute in his skinny jeans that he was so excited to buy!!! What a cutie! Couldn't ya just eat those cheeks up!!!
Kyler Jake...I will miss him during the day! I can't believe my baby is in 2nd grade! He is 7 1/2 years old!!! WHAT?! He was pretty sad to say goodbye to Bella this morning! He will be in Mrs. Smith's class. She was the teacher I was hoping he would get so we are thrilled to have her this year!! I am not sure why Kyler got such a kick out of this shirt but he loved it when we found it at the store!
sweet, sweet, sweet boy!!!
Austin is too old, too tall and growing up much to quickly for me! He is starting 8th grade and is 13 1/2 years old. He is happy to be back at the top of the food chain at school this year! He like the classes he got and found some friends in his classes! I asked him this morning if he was nervous..."Nope" he said! He is so laid back these days! He is excited to try out woodshop this year for one of his electives! While we were driving to school he said "5.0 GPA here I come!"
fire power
Kailee is almost 15!!! I almost have a driver! She started high school today! {scary!!!} She also started seminary this morning! Shawn took her...I am a pretty good mom but I have said for years that driving to seminary is not in my job description! Been there, done that! She loved it though...I will post pics of her later today when she gets home!! I know, I am a a bad...I didn't get up at 5:30 to take pictures of her! She can have after her first day pics! She was nervous and anxious when Shawn dropped her off this morning. As she was getting out of the car though, a group of the kids from seminary saw her and waved and called her over to walk in with them so she was fine after that and I am sure she will have a great first day!!!

Piano Buddies

How cute are these two? Adam and Kyler have been buds for years now! They both have recently developed a love for all things Star Wars! They have also both started piano lessons. Last night Adam was over for a late night and Kyler and him decided to play their songs for each other.
playing Mary had a Little Lamb together
They were darling playing their songs!!

My (not so) Little Chefs

After a day of baking and pizza making
Austin wanted to make homemade pizzas for dinner! Of course, who says no to a dinner they don't have to cook?!! Not I. He made the dough and did a great job! The pizza was yumm-o!!
Last week Tyson and I made sugar cookies together! He asked Melissa Gleason if she would share her recipe with us. She agreed and also shared the recipe for the frosting...that is a must have!!! We told her we would bring her some cookies in return and see if we got the Melissa and Zack seal of approval!!? (he did!) Ty did a fantastic job! He had so much fun in the kitchen! The hardest part was waiting to be able to roll out the dough and do the fun part! I bought him a new "french" rolling pin. He insisted that we needed one. Who am I to argue with the chef? I can't wait for Ty to start his cooking class tomorrow...this month is cookie month!!!

Wicked

Kailee and I have been anxiously waiting since last summer for the opportunity to go see Wicked!...and very, very anxiously since April when we bought our tickets!! It was soooooooooo good...I can't even describe it! What an amazing show and the talent was just oozing from the stage! It was so fun to go and see it with Kailee. I had fun sneaking a few peeks at her during the show and seeing her whole face just lit up!! She sat forward in her seat most of the night...she was so into it! I think 3 times during the show she turned to me and said "See why I want to do this Mom!!" We went with our good friends The Ravenberg girls! We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. {{yum!}} I can't wait until March when Kailee and I will get to see it again on Broadway in New York City!!!!!
Kailee with the Wizard headKailee and Tara
When I got my tickets in April I posted on FB how excited I was, my friend Brian saw my post and said he had a friend on the Wicked Tour and would we like to go backstage after the show!! umm....YES!!!!!!!!!! Tony met us at the backstage door and took us to the stage and behind the scenes. He ROCKS!!! We saw all the props, costumes and inner workings of a production that size...it was incredible! We saw all the costumes up close {AMAZING} and we saw Elphaba's hat! Some of things he told us... {so I don't forget}
-there were over 2 million dollars just in hats!! He couldn't even guess at the money for the rest of the costumes!
-it took 14 million dollars to put this show together and take it out on tour
-it makes about 2 million dollars a week
-it's booked out till 2013
-they put absolutely everything they can in the air backstage and above the stage to save on space!
-it takes one full day to get it all set up and then another 8 hours or so to work out kinks and about 8 hours to tear it all down
-the tour travels with a physical therapist
-they have a fire marshal there every performance because they use real fire
-after leaving the show at 11:30 each night the crew are back at 8 in the morning to work again for the next night's show
-the cast and crew don't get "vacations"...they only can leave if they arrange it and make sure someone covers them while they are gone

welcome collage

So I am pretty much copying this one from the Stampin' Up! catalog! {shhh don't tell} I actually would have ordered the one from Stampin' Up! but they didn't have the size I needed and I didn't like one of the phrases on it. What's a girl to do???...well make my own of course! I just chose all different fonts and played with the sizes and thicknesses. I like how it turned out! It looks really cool above this mirror in my entryway. I love the collage of words! You could do this with so many different things, words, rooms, occasions...the possibilities are endless!! If you are interested in some cool word collages for your walls shoot me an
email! {fabfullmers@yahoo.com}
what's in it?...
vinyl...brown (oracal)...I like to call it chocolate
size...8 1/2 in. x 35 in.
fonts...can't remember all of them {oops}
hours of sleep lost playing with words and getting them in just the right spot...2 or 3 AND lots of numbness in my mouse-clicking hand from being on the computer too long!
what can I say...I am a committed girl!

family vinyl

I have been on the hunt for awhile now for an idea that I just loved for a Fullmer Family vinyl. I finally found a few ideas that I liked and from that I created this...I just adore the way it turned out! I have had the picture frame for a few years now {yes I still need to add a few pics! I got so used to seeing those white spaces I sorta forgot they needed to be filled} and I have wanted the vinyl above to finish off the wall. I love when something turns out even better than you hoped for!!! I had my doubts as I was putting it up as to whether or not I was going to like it! Now I love it so much I feel like all my vinyl needs that 2 tone/layered look!! :) If you are interested in having your own "family vinyl" email me or call me and I will be happy to quote you a price.
chat at ya later!
what 's in it?
vinyl...tan & chocolate (oracal)
fonts...Aquarelle & Lucinda Bright
size...12 in. x 26 in.
hours of sleep lost and gray hairs accumulated...just a few! ;0)

Astros Game

We went to an Astros Game the other night! We had THE BEST time! We giggled, played, danced, laughed, ate and taught the little boys the rules of baseball. The Astros played the Pittsburg Pirates. We won 6-2. It was a fun game...we got to see some action! The boys loved being at the field.
We tried to get better than nose bleed tickets but it kept telling me that nothing was available. When we got there, there were tons of open seats! I think next time we will just buy tickets at the window! {it was all good though...we got a whole area to ourselves!} We are gonna go at least once more before summer ends so Kailee can be there with us too!
Minute Maid Park
eating the ice
Kyler was dying to have one of the snowcones from one of the vendors walking around! He loved it!
watch out Kyler...dad did this alot during the game!
Ty tracked down the cotton candy guyI finally got Austin to take one nice picture and Shawn got his hand in there! He is worse than having a little kid!
They have little photo op things...the boys "caught the ball" Tyson made that face on purpose. There were a couple of players that looked like they were sleepy in the pics they'd put on the big screen...so Tyson was making fun of them!
"hanging out with the team"
assaulting the team?...who knows!

4th of July

going through the fireworks...the boys were calling out which ones they wanted to light
sparklers while we were waiting for the Firework Show to start
smoky sparklers...that's Tyson behind all that! ;)
Kailee and Emma
Lela, Emma and Hayes came with us to watch the fireworks...it was fun to hang out with friends!
Bella loved watching the fireworks...a little too much...we had to keep her close by she wanted to go out to the street to see what was going on!
Shawners teaching Tyson how to light the goods
Kyler's turn
he loved lighting stuff on fire WAY to much!
Austin looks a little bored! He just likes lighting things!
big brother coaching little brother
doing the last of the sparklers
playing Star Wars with his sparkler
Statue of Liberty?....
We had a really fun night!!! We popped lots of popcorn and took it with us to watch the Firework Show at Katy Mills Mall. After the show when we got home we did a few fireworks of our own! Nothing like watching you money burn! The kids had a lot of fun though...the boys were soooo into lighting the stuff it was crazy! Everyone was safe, no one was burned! That's a good night!
