Here in Katy every November they have the annual 'Katy Tree Lighting'. It's our own little NYC Rockefeller Center moment. The last 2 years Kailee has sung with the Katy Jr. High Choir for the tree lighting. It is a new fun tradition for us to go each year! The kids love it...why?...not for the beautiful christmas music, not even for the candy and treats that are handed out, but for the SNOW. That's right, SNOW. The city and the fire department always crush up that ice and make 2 huge mounds of snow for all the kids to play in! This year it was a little warmer than last...as you can see Ty was in shorts. I think they would have preferred some gloves so they could've stayed there all night but even without them they had a great time! They threw snowballs and jumped around in there until we drug them away to go watch Kailee sing. For the last song the choir sang "Here Comes Santa Clause" and then santa did come...in great style...his sleigh was a lit up and on top of one of the fire trucks! We watched as Santa lit the city tree and then the kids were begging to get back to the snow! It was fun! Makes me want to get my tree out! I will wait till next Friday though!! I will, I will!
You are so disciplined! I already have three trees set up and one decorated (Thanksgiving is at my house this year so I could not do EVERYTHING). Looks like a great time at the tree lighting! Love the pics of shorts and snow!
That is the only way I want snow too...on my terms, planned and wearing shorts! You guys do the greatest things that the kids will remember when they are our age. You'll be famous forever! Love you!
Shawn...geologist (this means he gets to play with rocks and go on field trips for a living, incredible husband, fantastic dad, lover of the outdoors, puts up with me!)
Tara...wife/mom/daughter/sister/friend (I clean, I bake, I vinyl, I entertain & try to sneak in some playtime when no one is looking, love concerts, basketball, massages, nascar races & dancing)
Kailee... driver, singer, piano player, actress, big sister extrordinaire, babysitter, friend, college student, hard worker)
Austin...senior, employed!! (all knowing, all powerful{he thinks}, smart as a whip, aca-dec nerd, fun big brother, loyal, respectful, helpful always)
Tyson...8th grader...Jr. High Student! (chef extraordinaire, charmer, snake expert, laid back, lovable, crafter, piano player, sense of humor like no other)
Kyler...6th grader (goofball, smartie pants, fun loving, giggles at anything & everything, basketball junkie, video game player, reader, basketball player)
Bella...the dog (mellow, loyal to her ball, obedient, crazy swimmer, licker, friendly, can be bribed with treats especially popcorn)

The Fullmers are just having way too much fun this November. I'm putting all these events in my calendar next year. What great traditions!
